I just noticed some of you posting the Tomini Tang is your Favorite fish. I would love to see some pics. I have been debating between a kole tang and a tomini for my 125g. It will be the only tang in the tank. I have had a kole in the past and it was a nice fish. I am just looking for something a little different but I am a little worried about they gray body. I don't want it to be bland so prove me wrong.

Gorgeous tank!!!!! Your Tomini has a nice playground . You still have corals so that is a good sign :)

Thanks for the pics! I was afraid they would be dull but that yellow sure is bright and it really pops against the solid body. Nice fish guys I see what you are so partial to them!

Here's one of my old TT. He was a mean some beach and got swapped for a yellow eye kole (more color and less violence= less worry)

Sounds soo cool. I use photobucket it is free. just upload your photos to it and they you can easily post pics of your tomini using the link:) Hopefully I can get one at my LFS I haven't seen one but they no doubt can get me one. It would be the largest fish in my tank. I wanted to do a tank full of just small fish with a centerpiece fish that doesn't get too large that is reef safe. This just might be it.

Here is my current tank stock. Do you think as far as aggression it would it be suitable. I know each one varies but in general.

Pair of skunk clowns
Sunburst Anthias
Green Clown Goby
Black Clown Goby
Filament & Whipfin Wrasse
YellowTail Damsel
Mandarin

ricde was yours always aggressive or just turned mean:mad2:
My skunks, sunburst and mandarin would be by biggest concern as they are very peaceful

Great pics I love the head on shot. Peter he is a healthy big boy. By Bruiser I assume you mean agressive ? What I reallllllllly want is your powder blue tang but they get a little large for my 125.

ricde was yours always aggressive or just turned mean

He was only aggressive toward other live rock feeders and herbivores. Chased my tail-spot and black-combtooth around but never caused any real harm. Very good eater though, ate everything I tried to feed and never bothered any corals. I had him for about 4 months and just grew tired of his bullying so I traded him in for the kole.

I know the kole is a pretty standard fish but they are really great looking and more peaceful than the tommini.

Your stocklist should be fine for the flame-fin. The only concern I see is the tangs constant motion may not thrill the clown gobies but there shouldn't be any aggression.

I have no other rock picking fish in the tank except for the two tangs, so he's not aggressive at all. By bruiser I just meant large, sincehe actually passed my PBT in size :eek2:

good to know. If I do decide to go with a Tomini he would definitely be the only Rock picker and Tang for that matter.
