my alkalinity has always been on the high side everything i read people talk about having low alk and having to raise it i have never had low alk its always been high. Was wondering how do you lower alk?

Well, dosing any pH buffer will raise alkalinity. Alkalinity should drop on its own if nothing is dosed. How high is the alkalinity, and what does some freshly-mixed saltwater measure?
