related to this forum but I thought I'd try it anyways.

When I am done with this deployment, I want to take my wife on a trip to some tropical island or a cruise.

The problem is that I don't know which one is going to be the better experience. I want to go somewhere that won't be too expensive but will have lots of great scuba/snorkeling spots.

Any suggestions?

Cozumel Mexico...stopped there on a cruise 2 years ago. Lots of snorkeling and the most hospitable people.

I talked to this guy I work with and he suggested Belize and from what he tells me, it sounds like my spot.

Thanks anyways.

Guam; there is a retired coastie (MTD Guam I think)on the navy base that gives discount dive trips to the military. You could probably hop to Anderson and stay in billeting that would save some cash. I have been diving in Guam, Hawaii, Sardinia, and Florida. I did both Hawaii and Guam durring the 2004 Thunderbird PACAF tour and Guam was the best diving I have ever done.
