sps and iodine

Do sps need iodine? I does kalk for alk and ca but never worried abou anything else. What if any is the benifit to dosing iodine for sps. I have some lps and softies like zoas leather gsp. I know these will like the iodine but not sure about sps.

Iodine actually being useful as an additive is highly debatable. If anyone claims to have any real evidence to suggest iodine supplements are needed they're lying or misinformed. In addition, if iodine is in fact important to any of our inhabitants we add a pretty good amount via our fish foods every day, especially if you use algae based flakes or nori.
