Bio Cube Ballast Gone

I just started the cycle in my 8 gallon Bio Cube Monday. I add some LR today and turn the 10000k light on. After a couple of hours no lights! I'm like what's going on? Checked the ballast and one of them were dead. I got 2 extra so I switched it out and everything runs smooth. Just wondering if this is happened to others before? By the way everything looking good in my tank. The parameters are 0's. I did some MODs on the mid chamber in back I add a 100W 6500k light pull the bio-balls out throw some LR rubble, Cheato, few Mangrove stick...in the display tank I got Indo Pacific Live Sand, got the salt water from the New Pass (Sarasota Bay) topped with RO water. I don't make my own salt water because I'm cheap. I might post some pictures later. Will see! Let me know your thoughts about the ballast.
