What type of coral do you think this is? I always thought it was a finger leather but keep mostly SPS so I'd like to get the details from the experts. The reason I ask is that I am putting together a tank and it is going to be mostly SPS, lit by a constelation t5 fixture. Do you think that this coral can handle the intensity of the lighting? I would try to keep it lower in this tank but the tank is only 20 inches deep.

Devils hand, Lobophytum sp. I don't think you will have any problems with the lighting. Keep it low and see how it goes.

I had one of these a long time ago. It was just to the side of my 150 DE halide, about 5" below the surface. It did well in the high light. It also liked medium flow. The small white polyps came out often on mine. Here's a picture. It's in the 10 o'clock position relative to the Derasa clam.

I just called mine a yellow finger leather. :D
Yes, it can handle the light. Keep it high.
