Do any one know a place that makes a custom shape tank.I was in vegas about a year ago and was in the mall.they had this huge cylinder shape tank and the fish just swam around in a circle. It was lake a 4000 gallon tank it might not have been that big but you get the picture on what I'm getting at.I thought that would be a cool idea for my 635 gallon that I plan on getting one day if everything goes right

More than the honda pilot I recently bought. ;) I'll be surprised if you find an experience base to comment on if that's a good price or not, but good luck!! I've never heard of that website.

I myself thought that was kinda of cheap. The tank itself is a seems tank and its $10,500.I was watching a video of lafishguys.com and they were instilling a 435 gallon cylinder tank and he said the tank itself cost $20,000.The guy that I talk to said that for a seemless tank it would cost doulbe to even triple the amount. So maybe the tank in the video was a seemless tank.He also said that the only way you would see the seem is if you got 8in up on it

That price is very low ,we built a 720 rectangular tank recently for $39,000 that price included sand and liverock . Have you considered that you will need a foundation to place it on , Plumbing and electrical run for it . I would certainly ask to see another one he built and to talk with several of his customers. Also find out what he means by "complete"

The fact that he is using power compacts , a bio-filter shows me that in the very least he is far behind as far as reef tech goes. His list say's a skimmer and 2 pumps is like saying a house and 2 cars,if brand names aren't mentioned you can rest assured they are crap ,(when someone gets a Ferrarri they don't say I just got a car) And third using check valves is a recipe for disaster and without a doubt I would go elsewhere.

I figured that was to cheap and I would rather pay for quality than get a cheap tank.I'm not ready for it anyway so I have time to find the right one to do it.i might ask my LFS since I'm pretty cool with them so I trust them and since they are going to be sitting it up also. For a tank that big I dont plan on doing anything to it but feeding fish.I dont even plan on cleaning it myself

My suggestion would be to read some TOTM threads and educate your self as much as possible so as to make an informed purchase. Something else to consider is a cylinder tank magnifies everything inside and will make it impossible to get any really good pictures of your creatures (photography has become a side hobby) a piclike this would be impossible

I have seen two cylinder tanks and the view looked great for my eyes.I could get a hex tank I just like the concept of more swimming room by them just swimming in a circle. What does TOTM stand for and that picture you post that is a beautiful picture what is it,it looks like some kind of polyp

TOTM stands for the tank of the month and yes cylinders are real show stoppers(just not good for photo's) The coral pictured is a favites ,it has it's polyps extended to eat, this is what it looks like when not feeding

I just got off the phone phone with midwest custom which one of the ppl reeforbust recommended and he said he could do it for around the same price also.He also said a seem tank would be a whole lot cheaper than a seemless tank
