Monti Vs. Zoas...

I thought zoas would beat a monti in a brawl. I was wrong.

1st pic: August - Shortly after it began . The bumps you see on the monti are where its overgrown the zoa.

2nd pic: October - The monti continues to grow over the zoas. Even more zoas have met their match as evident by the bumps where the monti has grown over them. There is no stopping it!

that is awesome. i guess i will be careful where i position my PPE, nuk green, purple death, aog zoas. dont want them getting covered. but the rest, i would rather have the monti win. good to see.

I have a freaky monti cap that has 4 or 5 zoa's growing through it. I will take some pics of it tomorrow when the lights are on.

Luckily this guy isn't growing over anything too special. If either coral had been something I cherished I don't think I would've let them get so close.
