Decorative self adhesive film instead of epoxy paint for a plywood tank?

I think it is much cheaper than epoxy paint and it should work fine above sand level.Below it epoxy paint can be used.Am I right?

pretty sure the epoxy paint is used to seal the tank...i cant say i would trust an adhesive product to do the same...

the adhesive on the film is not water proof and will peel and yes epoxy is to seal the tank plus make the tank stronger

Epoxy paint alone is not even enough protection. IMHO
