unknown cheto

I have regular cheto in my sump/refug and i thought that a strand got into my tank and it was going to be the same so i let it grow. i am in a cycle right now and its just all twisted and is not the same color. is it the same cheto or what. thanks in advance

That looks pretty neat, perhaps one could form cheato ornamentally like asian restaraunts do with bamboo?
