Looking to get a Scott's Fairy Wrasse but I'm concerned about my Mandarin.

From some other threads I've learned that most fairy wrasses will not eat a copepod, just larger amphipods.
While a sixline (i realize is not a fairy wrasse) will tear through any copepod population, is a Scott's Fairy Wrasse safe to house with a Mandarin?

Yes, should be fine.

As far as copepods are concerned, Lisa is right. But this is ONE very aggressive fish.

Interesting, Ive always read they were peaceful.

Whats your opinion on either an Exquisite Wrasse, a Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse or a Lineatus Fairy Wrasse?

Of the three, Lineatus would be my recommendation. The other two, being part of the "blue group" tend to lose coloration (as would the Scott's) without the presence of a female.

I agree on the Lineatus and the no issues with the Mandarin. Consider trying to find a good Pyle's or Pink Margin fairy as well if you're looking for good colors but are trying to save a little change.

Thanks,
I didn't notice when I was flipping through Wrasses that I listed a $200.00 fish. :eek2:
