I am in the process of setting up my liter meter using bionic 2 part. I want to start adding calcium to my water change water as well as the to water I am using for top off. what is a cheaper alternative to maintain the calcium levels besides using 2 part.

I do recommend adding it to your salt mix if that salt mix is lower than your tank target, as Instant Ocean might be, but I would not push it above 550 ppm when trying to use it as a calcium delivery method.
Any brand of suitably pure calcium chloride is fine, including Dowflake (which is what I've used for many years).

Yeah I am not sure what the calcium level is straight out of the bucket i believe it was somewhere near 360 and I am aiming to be near 425.

I would make the salt water, and then add the solid calcium (calcium solution to it). I do that with Instant Ocean. I also add magnesium that way.
