My power adaptor has stopped working, can you tell me how to get a replacement? I got it last year from BulkReef Supply.

Thanks Scott, I called and she said they would send one out. I do have a question though. When i took the pump apart today, the rollers look to have melted or got stuck in place. I do have another tube assembly, which i put into the unit. But now the motor just spins, you can see that shaft rotating, but the rollers do not. I order all my replacement parts form spectrapure direct. Do you think the power adaptor and the rollers are caused by the same issue?? This is a great pump, never had an issue with it. Should i send the unit into you guys?

No, we will send you a new set of rollers. Just keep an eye on them and service it a little more often. Clean the head and motor shaft well with De-Solv-It or acetone.

okay, thanks a lot. I have it set at 300 and i keep a spare tube assy on hand. I have roughly 300gal in the total system, and the dose is set at 19L. Should I service more often? Again, thanks for your help, your guys have awesome products and service.

Just a little more often to keep it from gumming up again to the point of stalling the motor.

Hey Scott, i received the power adaptor but not the rollers for my LMIII. Can you let me know if you shipped the rollers out?
Thanks.
Larry.

Larry,
I'm sorry, that appears to be my fault. Instead of filling out the paper work for a new no-sale Sales Order, I merely asked a co-worker to add the rollers to your power supply and I did not double-check to see that it actually happened.
We'll get them out to you tomorrow, I promise.
Sorry again for the delay,
Scott

I don't know what to say, I guess I can't keep a simple promise.
Please call our office and ask for Dana. I am out of town on vacation.

Hey Scott, well the good news is i got the rollers today, the bad news is they didnt fix the problem, the shaft spins and the rollers do not. After a few hrs i went to check on it and the rollers still were not spinning. Can you tell me where i need to send this to get it fixed. I really need to get it working again.

Larry-
First, examine the newest set of rollers- if they have a grrove they must be replaced. Please let us know if if you need another set.
Then try the following. It should get you back up and running, although if you send it to us, we will go though the whole thing in detail.
1)Roughen up the motor shaft with the motor running by using 400 grit wet/dry paper briefly to break the glazing that is likely present. Over roughening of the motor shaft will reduce its diameter which will also cause slipping, so be careful and roughen sparingly. You are just trying to remove the glaze.
2)Degrease all of the internal pump components with acetone: motor shaft, pump housing, tubing and rollers.
3)Warning, if the rollers are not immediately turning after this procedure, STOP the pump and disassemble the pump and try again. If you let the motor shaft spin on the rollers it will melt a groove in them and ruin them.
We will send you a new set of rollers if you have melted a groove in the set we just sent you (?) Please let us know.

Yes, there is one grove in each of the 3 rollers. I will follow the directions you have listed. Thanks.

Bruce, i did get the unit to work, the rollers will need to be replaced, they all have a groove in them, but i sanded it down locally and they seem to be working. I will monitor and let you know if there are any other problems. Thanks for your help.
