you "can" do this - but the redsea controller just turns the pump on/off - the Tunze controller I believe is for the DC controlled 6055 pump and can control the actual speed that the pump is running.

So I would not suggest using the 6055 (controlled nanostream) on the redsea controller.

The other nano streams 6025, 6045 are not controllable by the multicontroller.

Hope that helps.

it does, so turning the non controllable streams may just fry them? I heard some say that they start to reverse flow when they are turned on and off i just didnt know if that was an isolated incident or is an actual issue

I believe they can start in the wrong direction - but I dont know what this does to the motor. If you are concerned about this - then I would suggest getting some maxi-mods and not worrying about it. They might make a bit of noise - but they will work.

First the 6025's & 6045's are not meant to be turned off & on for at least 15min apart. I have 3 of then and yes they do start in reverse at start-up but quickly correct themselves with in a second. when they correct themselves they are just a tad bit noisy, so this is something that I think would get very annoying real quick if you put them on a wave maker, also by turning them on/off so much will shorten there life span.

I think they have new one's out now that are controllable, but I'm sure there kinda pricey.

yeah they are a bit pricey, i just really dont want to spend another 500 to get two nanostreams and a multicontroller, i was looking at the hydor korllia with their controller because its a few hundred less i just dont think i should have 2 nano streams running constantly in my 75 gallon.

You should ask this question on the "Tunze/Sponsor Forums." Roger Vitko will answer your question.
