How bad is stray voltage in a reef tank? If I have an open cut on me my tank shocks me (like cutaculs on fingers etc). Does stray voltage have any effect on corals?? Thanks

Yes it does, you need to pinpoint the defective equipment and remove it. Stray voltage will cause a lot of problems in a reef.

i get alot of cuts on my hands and get the same feeling . i have checked for stray voltage and found none try taking some water out of your tank and put cut finger into it . if it feels the same you got your answer if it doesnt then you have an issue ,check it out.

will stray voltage have any effects on corals? I read through the archives and found nothing about effects on corals.

I know that it can kill your fish, so i think it would affect the corals.

I agree with the idea to check to see if the saltwater outside of the tank is causing the same sensation on your cut. Here is a good discussion on stray voltage:
