hosp/ quarantine tank cycle?

Do I need to cycle a hospital/ quarantine, or do I need to? With nothing in it do I just use a additive to cycle like Stability from Seachem?

Some people keep a sponge from a sponge filter in their sump and then move it to the QT when they buy something now. Instant cycle.
