I run URI vho bulbs as i'm sure you guys know they have the internal reflectors. My question is has anyone used white paint over the back half of the bulb to bounce more light into the tank? i wouldnt think you would need a high temp paint as they dont get that hot.. It would be easy to tape the bottom half and use spray paint. LMK what you think about this idea.. Thanks Greg.

Dont know if it would work but why not use silver paint?

maybe silver would be better.. remembering back to my hydroponics days, and white paint usually was better at reflecting then other colors..

white paint reflects light the best but why do you need to paint them if they have internal reflectors. I don't see how that would put more light into the tank. If anything maybe paint the inside of the canopy white to help reflect any light that bounces back.....
