36x36x24 Can I get away with 1 400 watter?

Would 1 400 watt halide in a Lumenarc or Lumen Bright light this tank adequatly enough for SPS?

My bro and I were discussing the same thing yesterday for his 36x36 cube build. I think I have to agree with lagger. The lumenbrights may be too directional to catch the whole tank. The lumenarcs should get you there. Now we just need to figure out how to mount that thing and make it look decent.

Crazy4Acro's tank, the current thread of the month, is a 36" cube that runs off of one 400 watter.

I agree, my tank is 36" by 30" and I use a single 400 watt in a Lumenarc.

i have a lumenbrite 19" on my cube with a 400w bulb and its plenty of light. and covers the whole tank. i have mine raised 8" above the water level.
