about a year ago, i used dry rock to start a 30g reef, the rock started growing small patches of solid black algae...then it covered my corals..the aquarium has since crashed..& now the corals are in a quarantine tank... my Hammer coral's skeleton is covered in this black algae...i cannot put it back in my main display & risk contamination.... would chemi-clean kill the black algae ? if not..what should i do..

BTW..this is not red or blue-green..its black..& its not wavey..its like smooth corraline algae

I've noticed some of this in my tank, but it's too small for a naso tang. What other options would there be other than the standard chemical warfare (low nitrates and phosphates)?
