i've got a 2x150mh + 4xt5 light fixture. picked up an acro and a bird's nest frag on sunday. What i've started doing for light acclimation is put it in a shady spot for the first few days (on the sandbed, tank is 18" tall). tonight (night 3 in the tank) i'd like to move it out into the open, but again on the sand bed, and leave it there for about a week. a week later, move it half-way up the rockwork, and a week later to the top rock. i've got a small crocea there that's been doing great, so i figure the lighting there is adequate.

thoughts on timeframes?

also, how much lighting does a bird's nest need? how far up the tank should it be? i learned my lesson when my monti frag got bleached out after doing great for a few weeks.
