I've got a NudiBranch in my tank (at least I believe it is), it's a tiny one. I put a new Zoa in the other day, it must have tracked in on that. Anyhow, it's beside the zoa on the big rock that the plug is sitting in, in a small crevase. I can't grab it to pull it out, can I use a chopstick and just plaster it against the rock, or can they breed by division?

I would not kill it in your tank, can you siphon it out with some hose? That's how I would do it,

I did FW dips regularly till all of them went away. It was a pain but one way to make sure all of them died is to take all the rock out and dip them...luckily this was in my frag tank so I didnt have much rock. Good luck

i have tried this with zero luck, i have dipped in iodine again no luck.. right now as i type i'm acclimating a Melanurus Wrasse to help with the problem. These guys are very tough to get rid off. Good luck with your battle

Well good news, it crawled out and I snagged it with some tweezers. Thanks for the responses.

I had a Nudibranch problem in past. I had to remove its food source. Sounds like you have Zoa Eating Nudibranchs. In my experience FW dip was unsuccessful. I had to manually remove them until didn't see anymore. I also had an issue with another type of nudi, which liked Green Star Polyps. FW was unsuccessful, so I removed it. Remove food source I say, and therefore remove predator's food, thus starve. From what I have read many only eat one type of thing. It has been about 6 months so I may get another GSP rock for DT. I had such an infestation on my GSP rock of Armindid Nudis that I threw the rock in trash. The zoas I moved to frag tank to keep close eye on til picked them all off and waited enough time for eggs then when felt safe put back zoas in my DT. Never had any other problems. This was my experience. This is a good website to identify your culprit: www.seaslugforum.net

Also, google Aeolid Nudibranch , this may be it (they are zoa eating nudibranchs).

take it back to the LFS after you get it.
