I want to start building all the hardware up now so when I'm ready all i have to do is get the LR and salt. I plain on setting up this tank in the beginning of the new year. So far for the fish i was thinking (I already have someone that can get me the two fish i listed and will be getting them. I would like some fish that i can put around these two):

Juv Bandit Angel

Pseudanthias Fuscipinnis

i would like to add 1-3 more fish to the mix. Do you have any suggestions?

Do you expect replies without telling what size tank? I hope you know that a small bandit angel goes for 500 plus dollars. Not a fish for a beginner. Lesley

sorry my bad it's going to be 75G to 100G tank. Size not set in stone. Also 500 plus dollars is nothing compared to the 2500 the Anthias cost ;)

You are going to need a cold/cool water system to keep both of those fish happy. They are specialist fish and difficult to keep.
The P. Fuscipinnis can be very temperamental. It's a lot of money to pay for a delicate fish.
Unless you have bags of experience I would reconsider the stock.

I have already planed all that i need to and i know how to keep these fish. I'm looking for suggestions on what other fish i should keep with them. Though i hardly post because I'm tired of people derail post like this i have well over 10 years experience as well as many difficult spices kepted in my care under my belt.

Nobody is trying to derail your thread. Just trying to be helpful. Your thread states virtually no information about your proposed tank or experience. You posted two difficult and expensive fish as species you are going to keep and THEN ask for suggestions as to what can be kept with them.
I am glad you can care for them appropriately and I look forward to seeing the new set up with these beautiful fish.

As for appropriate tank mates - is the set up going to be areef or FOWLR?

I didn't mean to come off harsh. I am a easy going guy. It's my bad for not listing everything when i posted. But i know people will agree with me about threads being derailed.

The tank will be FOWLR but if the fish that are deiced are reef safe or not reef safe because they will eat inverts ill put some coral in the tank too. so im leaning ether way (if to go's to the reef side ill be doing a cold water reef) but ill prefer at this time for FOWLR

Seeing as money doesn't seem too much of a problem;) then I would certainly go for either Chaetodon daeldama (Wrought Iron Butterfly) or a pair of Chaetodon tinkeri (Tinkers Butterfly). I personally prefer th WIB.

Centropyge interrupta would also look awesome (even better in a pair) but they may eventually outgrow the tank.

If you could push the tank size to 150g your fish choices will be much greater.

The Bandit & Hawaiian Deepwater Anthias (it's actually Odontanthias fuscipinnis), both get fairly large. Larger than a 75 or 100 gallon can handle.

If you go with a 155-180, the whole idea would work much better, JMHO. I would try and keep the tank right around 70ºF-72ºF.

Anyhow here's some fish to consider.

- Centropyge interrupta
- Belonoperca pylei (doubtful to be able to get)
- Liopropoma maculatum (doubtful to be able to get)
- Chaetodon (Roa) Excelsa
- Prognathodes aya
- Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus
