will candycane coral grow under 40w??

i guess that all depends on how big your tank is and what kind of lighting you have over the tank. you say 40w but is that PC, T5, VHO??

also what size is your tank? i have some candy cane coral and i have noticed that they dont like alot of light but will thrive under a good amount of light. i had mine under 130w's of PC lighting and they didnt do very well, but when i put them under my 70w MH they started to perk right up and they are now growing like crazy.
