i know there is an entire Octopus thread but its huge and would take me forever to read through if the answer is even in there.

Thanks

I think it should fit though it will be close. I believe the EXT200 is 11.5x13.5... A 30g long is 36x12x16 I believe, as long as your skimmer section in your sump is large enough I don't see why not. I've been thinking of doing the same exact thing myself. Know anyone that has a 30g longs sitting around??

btw, if you decide to go through with it could you post or pm me some pictures? Thanks :)

It should fit OK.

hey mg, you have msx 200 on your 125 gallon, and does it handle that size tank pretty well and how often you empty cup out.

Well so far its only "It should" I would hate to buy one and have it not fit. My stand wont host a larger sump so a 30 long is all I have to work with. I was hoping for someone who has done it to post some pics.

I have a 30 (36x12x16.5) gallon sump and the Octo Extreme 200 and it does fit-It's a tight squeeze but it works.

lol yeah that's the hard part :D. If you order through Reef Specialty you get free shipping-that'll save you a few bucks at least.

RS is where I ordered through and I got it very quickly and everything was in excellent (i.e. not broken :) ) condition. Plus they make a mesh wheel mod that basically pulls more air and is better than the standard pinwheel impeller (I'm still new to everything reef related and this is my first skimmer but hopefully that's helpful)

I called Mike at Reef Specialty and he said I got the last series 200.....hahaha. Right now I have a coralife 65 skimmer that is a POS. I am going to have to cut one my baffels and move it over to make room for the skimmer.

The coralife 65 isn't a POS, it works wonders on my 10G softie reef :P

Well I got my Octopus Extreme 200 in today and let me tell you..... WOW is all that comes to mind when I saw this thing. Its freaking huge! I am going to have to move the baffles in my sump way over and redo some pipeing to my return pump.

Well I finally got it installed. I had to drain my sump so I could cut the old baffle out and install the new baffle.

I had the skimmer running for only an hour and a half and it already foamed 100X's better then my old Coralife 65 skimmer.
