This guy I got from LFS. He is CONSTANTLY eating and is a little camera shy. You guys were not kidding about their appetite. Love these guys!

Looking good. How long has the tank been up and running

I would highly recommend getting a copepod culture setup soon. I, unfortunately, learned my lesson the hard way when it comes to feeding madarins. I loved that fish, he was my first. My former LFS sold me on him and said that I could get it to eat mysis with "no problem". Yeah right! Well, he lasted for a good 9 months til he ate pretty much every copepod in my tank. I tried supplementing with bottled pods but I couldn't keep up. I should have given him away, but my stubborn streak prevailed. I hope to try one more once I get my larger tank set up, with a pod culture, but for now I just admire the ones everyone else has. Best of luck! BTW nice pics.

i beleive as your a beginner the tank is fairly new, unless you havent changed your signature yet, if so the mandarin will struggle to live in an early stage tank, have you got a refugium, if not, then how will you keep him alive in this new tank, hope its established, if so my apologies

The tank is fairly new (6 mon.), but I got rock and cheato from a well established tank. I have a 30 gal. fuge underneath and hope that will supplement his eating. I was seeing TONS of pods day and night. They are still there, but a little more shy with him lurking!! Thanks for the responses.
