AP makes Dionized tap water filter i have been using it for WC,
I tested the water for tds and get a reading between 4-5.
do you think that would be ok to use instead of a RO/di unit
The cost of my water is expensive here on long island and the thought of wasting 2/3 x to 1 is concerning. I checked my phospates and their at .05 I have some slight algae growing on the top of my LR the part that is 3" from the surface, I think I added to that because I was leaving the lights on too long, I couldn't stop watching the tank. I cut back the hours a little and I'm going to purchase 1/2 more snails since I only have 2 in there , probably not enough to tackle the situation.
how long do you guys leave on the lights. (act.& 10,000k)
Thanks
