Chiller cleaning

How often do you clean your chiller? I think you're supposed to run a diluted vinegar solution through it the reverse way it is normally run. I've had my chiller for 6 years and never cleaned it. I haven't noticed any reduction in flow or ability to cool, but I thought it might be a good idea to do it. By the way it's a JBJ Arctica 1/10th HP.

I just cleaned one that I had running on my 100 gal reef for about 8 years, there was not much debris on the coil.

Did you use a vinegar solution? How long did you run it for?

I have the same chiller, it had stop cooling. I started a reverse flow of dilute vinegar last night. this morning i started a fresh water flush. I've read a hour or 2 is good also.
