i have seen these coming out of the mouth of my gigantea before but haven't had any luck finding them on the internet. thought maybe the were part of the sexual system or anus or valves used inflate or deflate but haven't seen anything to confirm. they only come out for a short period of time then are gone.

they are very small tube ( looked rolled rather than solid ), maybe 1/8" in diameter and have a small hole in the middle. i know the picture isn't the best but it's all my camera can do, i had to direct a PH toward the anemone to try and clear out the residents.

i think they act as teeth to an anemone

I think you're referring to the siphonoglyph. Anemones have several around the mouth.

I checked to see if anything would show up online, there are descriptions, even a wikipedia reference. They have to do with respiration. I think they look like a rolled tongue;-)
