I shut lights off for three days algie came back . It has a few fine hairs coming up from it. It clumps sand together and can be sucked up off sand bed. It comes back after a few days. Not good pic but is this algie I have no phosphate and have only 1 chromis in tank. feed only every other day. how do i get rid of this stuff ?

It is one of two things

More than likely cyanobacteria it could also be diatoms.

There are many approaches to cyano problems but the first and most obvious are

-Limit the nutrients availability in the water, primarily PO4 and NO3
-Change your light bulbs (they may be worn out)
- increase the water flow in that area

It's 25 gal tank been up two years now. two power heads can't move them in any way it will disturb corals if directed any other way . Had this kind of green stuff first year then it just went it's course and was gone.

yeah change the bulbs. you could also be over feeding causing algae on the sandbed. when you find out the source, it will fix itself

My advice is buy you a sleeper goby. They eat small microorganism in the sand, therefore they take large amounts of it in there mouth and sift it out through there gills. This helps keep my sand clear of any bacteria and algae. The are around $22 or so, well worth it.
Here is a picture of the ones I have in my tank.

I'd guess it's the bulbs. How's your R/O+DI water? Could be time for a resin/membrane change?

Well changed lights yesterday. What a difference in the brightness. I was kinda skeptical of tis yeary thing. You know how a lot of the sugestions are a way to sell this and that in this hobby. Well like a new tank. Funny how you don't notice that lights are not doing there job . Sucked out all algie I could get at with water change.
