Hello. I am having some issues with my AC3 and was wondering if anybody else has had this problem.

The 1st night this issue happened, 1 set of VHOs turned on around 1:30a.m.,5:30a.m. and once more around 10:00a.m. I will post my program if necessary, but not a single accessory turns on or off at any of those times. Plus me and a reliable friend went through everything separately and found nothing wrong with the timing, the assignment of outlets, as well as the plugs being in the right outlets. Also, everything works great during the day when they're supposed to be turning on and off.

I just set it up temporarily to rid myself of single timers, so I figured I'd finalize some things and redo the program since there are problems. So I re-assigned the outlets for the accessories, re-assigned the DCs(A1-8, B9-16, etc.) and reviewed/edited the all the timer settings.

That night, 1 of the halides came on twice at completely random times. So I flipped the ballast switch until I could figure out what was going wrong. The following two nights everything was unplugged so I could shorten/lengthen all cords in the pump room for neatness, so I don't know if anything happened then. Everything was plugged in last night, but I went to bed early and did not observe the timing.

My AC3 is hooked up with a wireless game adapter. It is running 2-DC8s and 2-DC4HDs. The 1st time it happened on a DC8. The 2nd time it happened on a DC4HD. I would check the status on my computer and it would show that the accessories were set on auto and it would say they were off. I did not check to see what the AC3 itself says. My backlight is pretty dim and its hard to read. I did buy it brand new, but every AC3 owner that comes over says mine looks really dim.

Anyways, Has anybody had this problem before? If there is any info. that I forgot to post, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you in advance for any help.

Sounds like interference from one of your devices. Probably an electronic light ballast.

Agree, be sure to route your control wire far from the larger electrical devices like ballast. You might also want to give Neptune a call; they have some diagnostics built into the controller that they can walk you through that will help pinpoint the offending device.

Thank you both for your input. I still have a bit of "cleaning up" to do, but hopefully that will help. I am continuing it today, so we'll see how it goes. Now I just have to get my backlight to brighten up!

Thanks again and I'll post again after I get some more wires cleaned up.
