Hello DF&S,

I recently started using a new 5 gallon bucket of RC that I purchased from you around 7/x/08 , and for some reason the water will not clear up no matter how long i run the powerheads when mixing it. This is the first time that this has ever happened to me. The bucket was kept in a dry area, as well as closed. Should I be worried about the cloudiness ? Have you heard of any bad batched that were produced around 7/x/08 ?

Below are the numbers that I'm getting

Cal around 420, alk 3.5meq/l mag around 1200ppm

jman77,

Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for any inconvenience. Salt mixes absorb moisture quite easily; this in turn can cause cloudy water. One way to tell if your salt mix has been exposed to moisture is if have any clumps or sediment in the bottom of your mixing bucket. However, due to the fact that your calcium and magnesium are within normal range, there is no need for concern. We have included a link to the Instant Ocean (http://www.instantocean.com/Instantocean.home) Website for more information.

Please feel free to contact us with any other questions or concerns.
