snail guard

I was just wondering if the vortechs have snailguards like the tunzes? I was thinking about trying out two mp40s and have fish that love to the clean the pumps when the pump is in feed mode. Is there any type of guard that prevents fish or snails from going into the impellar?

During feed mode the pump still spins at its lowest setting which will keep snails and fish out of it.

how about if u have a master and slave that alternate, does one stop spinning completely?

The pump never stops spinning completely unless it is unplugged.
