What is "trace element"?

Are you testing your iodine levels before dosing, or just dosing?

Salinity is a touch low, but not too bad.

I wouldn't add anything (trace, iodine, etc.) to your aquarium that you're not testing for.

i agree here stop dosing, unless your testing for it . it is very easy to over dose iodine. i read in the lps section the iodine shoul be around 0.01 ppm and it would take several 50% water changes to get it back to norm. your water changes are putting back the trace and iodine your tank is using.

just started dosing them, dosed iodine twice only

will stop dosing until i get a test kit

with a tank that size and the regular water changes you will not need to dose any trace or iodine.

trace elements are used up by corals and other animals in our tanks, every time you perform a water change to your tank you are replenishing it with trace elements.

Trace elements cannot be easily tested for, I doubt that was the problem anyways. Iodine however can be easily tested and should be if you plan on adding it, an overdose has been heard to cause problems. Trace elements should be added a little less than what the bottle recommends, if you're doing weekly water changes it might not matter anyways though.

Do you test for Alkalinity and Calcium?? These are some of the most important values for LPS and I didn't see any parameters for these in your listing a couple posts above...

nope i never test them
i never dose them either

just maintain weekly water change
