Could be the beginnings of hlle. Hard to tell as the picture is blurry. Hopefully it is not but a balanced diet can fix it :)

In the tank with him, Blue tang, 2 percula, wrasse, goby, blenny, pincushin, black urchin (soon to be out). He is not in QT. I do not believe it is ich, he is very rich in color other that this area. It has been about a week he is showing no signs of weekness or distress. I think it is an injury but thought I would post.

are we looking at the very small missing bit of fin at the top, or not?

oh-right ok, tbh, its bearly noticable, i thought is looked like nothing to worry about, but now you mentioned the thinning i see what you mean, not sure if there is a problem or not

My thoughts have been he may have tangled with the Black Urchin or someone. Not convinced I am dealing with a disease.

my immediate reaction is its not a problem, unusual but dosent look a worry to me, if your overly concerned then a bit of time in QT may be worth doing, however doesnt seem a worry, perhaps someone else will chip in, but i wouldnt worry about it yet, just keep an eye on him

Might want to try soaking some nori with garlic and see if that speeds healing up. It wont hurt to try.
