filter sock holders

lets see the pics of yours. did you make it? Did you buy it, if so where from?

I am looking for something to hold 2 sock filters that have a 4" opening and are 14" long. I have 1" pvc coming from my overflows to my sump

I used a 4" PVC elbow that I bought at Orchard Supply for 2 bux. Works great. Just cut some slots in it so it slides on the side of the tank. I'll try to find the link I found that explains it or take some pics of mine so you can get an idea.

I have a glass piece across the top of the tank (just side-ways, and not the length of the tank) I cut two holes in it and put in bulkheads, then have my plumbing going down into those bulkheads.

im just looking for a way now to have filter socks attached from there. I can run a pvc pipe out the bottom of the bulkheads if need be

I made a dual holder out of eggcrate(not a very good design, but gets the job done). I will be making one out of acrylic soon, I need to find some scrap or get a new sheet. Here is a pic, don't laugh, like I said it gets the job done.

The acrylic one I will be making will be similar, just not as flimsy, and I may just make it a 7" single hole, instead of 2 4" ones(I will have to make bigger socks). Good luck.

I made mine the same way... only mine was a single.
