Will this light a 29g tank well enough and let me grow just about anything I want to?

I have heard some very bad reviews about this brand- things like fires and melting fixtures. I would research it more before I made the purchase.

I was looking at this brand (only in the T-5), everyone on here said that the ballest's have been known to catch fire.
They all told me to save my money and get a better one

I have the 48" version of this. It works fine. I plan on upgrading ballasts and bulbs within it's 1 year mark. Good "base" light though...

Ive heard the new version has a different ballast and hasnt had any issues yet.

It wouldn't be my first choice but I'm sure It will do what you need it to do.

It would be more than enough but you probably could cut that MH down to 150 watts without a problem and avoid heat issues.

I run there fixtures for over a year now with no problems. GO FOR IT.
