Hi all

I know that this is wrong but i am getting the fish directly from an importer and i am saving a HUGE amount of cash this is what i am getting

5 Anthias or 3 flame back pygmy angels
10 green chromis
3 fire gobies
1 coral beauty
5 red crabs
5 algae eating snails

The tank is 100G

I know i should have added the fish slowly. The tank has cycled for 2 months already. What should i do when i get the fish to ensure maximum survival?

If you add all those pygmy angels to the same 100 gallon tank, you are going to have war. Additionally, dwarf angels need a mature tank, not one just getting set up.

What type of anthias?

You only "save" money if the fish live.

test the water ever other day and have prime on hand for nitrite increases and lots of water ready for many large water changes if need be.

I would also look at dosing some packaged bacteria like stability.

Hi all

I know that this is wrong...Exactly.

If you know it's wrong, don't do it.

As another poster pointed out, you're only going to save money if the fish live, and I predict you'll suffer quite a bit of loss. Most of those fish need an established tank, not one that's been up only 2 months.

Don't kill the fish. Just don't do it.

I agree adding all those fish at once is asking for trouble. The best thing to do at this point, if you are getting a 0 reading on ammonia and nitrite would be to add a small fish and see how things balance around after a month or so.

Cancellation is by far the best course for the fish and for your pocket book. I am glad to see a poster actually accept advice once offered.

By the way, multiple firefish in your tank are likely to end up as one.

Nothing good ever happens quickly in this hobby.

Snorvich so you say that 1 cannot keep multiple fire gobies in 1 tank?

Well, they do fine at LFS because they have no established territories so you will often see 10-15 in one of their tanks. In YOUR tank, one will establish territory and terrorize the other. This is especially true in small tanks but I have seen this behavior in one of mine as well. IF they are a mated pair, it can work, otherwise, problematical.
