Is there a "above all the rest" skimmer if you want to plumb it directly into the plumbing and have a separate sump/Refugium? I want to pass 100% of the water through the skimmer and into the sump/refugium without having to take up room with the skimmer IN my sump (want it dry). I have been looking at reeflo and octopus skimmers but there is just so much to consider.
I plan on having a separate closed loop for added circulation, not worried about this. Is it even practical to have all of the water, that is going to be coming down the overflow, to go through the skimmer before hitting the sump or should i bump it back a little?
*edit* Wanted to mention that it would be going on the 180gal system. probably close to 240gal total volume unless I can figure in some more space somewhere.
