Are there any SPS that will help control Ammonia Nitrites or nitrates?

ammonia will most likely kill any sps - they're pretty sensitive. High trates will just brown them out

okay so they wont help me with this then. I don't want them to eliminate the bacteria as I understand that that can only be done with good maintenance. I only want something to help aid me in keeping them down. Something more natural than just maintenance is there any such thing?

thegyft07, It doesn't sound like you understand Ammonia Nitrites or Nitrates too good. Corals will not help you with this. There are some good articles here:

no I do. I know that they are toxins and I know that they basically harm all life forms, but I also know that there are some plants a LPS corals that consume a small part of them. I just wanted to know if any SPS's did the same. I also wanted to know if there were any plants that consume them the way that Culpera and cheato do? (forgive the spelling).

Xenia. They soak up nitrates like a sponge. Yet they spread in your tank like a weed.

All corals, afik, do absorb VERY small amounts of ammonia and/or nitrate from the water column. They're just not enough to make an appreciable difference, even in the largest and most heavily stocked SPS tanks. If there is an appreciable amount of ammonia, the corals are dead first. If there is an appreciable amount of nitrates, unless the tank is not fed anymore after that, you might see a small decrease, but even then I highly doubt it would be noticeable.
Short answer is that no, you will never ever see an appreciable decrease in nitrate, nitrite, or ammonia from corals or the bacteria within them utilizing those nutrients.

Thank You so much. That is all that I wanted to know.
