Hi, are there any issues with either of these? They used to be hard but maybe things have changed?
I think they're cool but the last thing I want is to get something that will just whither away with time.
thanks!!

I can't speak to blue ridge but pipe is touchy. Good luck if you're going to try it.

I guess it depends on perspective.
IMO/IME neither Tubipora or Heliopora would be considered difficult. They're easily fraggable- try a frag from a fellow reefkeeper.

I've not had any isues with mine, either (pipe organs grow almost like star polyps in every tank I have them and the blue ridge is one of few that made it through a bad move several years ago).

I have found mine to be quite hardy as well.

I got some heliopora on a piece of live rock and tried to kill it because I liked the shape of the rock and wasn't interested in the coral. Three months in a bucket with a power head, no freshwater top-offs, no heater, and no light didn't kill it and it is now happily growing in my tank.

I have a Blue Ridge Coral and beside that I find it ugly, it slowly encrusted over everything in it's vicinity.
