Just picked this guy up, he's a little shy still and my lawnmower blenny is a little put out. Tell me what you think :) Also does anyone else have one? Would like some pics as they seem to vary greatly

What is their temperament like? Do they tend to loose some of the blue intensity like other bluish fairies?

That looks like a subadult male C. scottorum. If so, it is highly aggressive.

Very beautiful. How has he done as far as adjusting and eating? I have been considering one for a while now, but I would hate to get such a gorgeous fish & then lose him. Did he do well when you introduced him to the tank?

He was introduced 3 days ago and ate from the get go. The only problem so far is that my lawnmower blenny is a little mean. I don't think its a scotts but if it is yes it will be very aggressive

Does he loose his color if not housed with a female?

Yes. Any of the "blue group" lose some coloration if not with a female.

Exqisites are extremely variable, about as much as Scott's. The dead giveaway is the stippling on the dorsal and anal fin, and the caudal fin also. The red trim on the pectorals is also a giveaway. 100% an exquisite.

it is an exqusite of the Pacific varient..the ones in 91yota's pics is of a equsite from the indian ocean and africia..and it will lose its color unless it is housed with a few females..that is a very nice looking exqusite nikion..i like the pacific varient more than the africians

Thanks for the comments. He is about 4.5" now and now the blenny is fine with him ( today anyways) Do you think he will lose alot of colour that he allready had? Any chance another fairy might change that? Like my pair of flames on order? Also do you think they will all be ok in my new 130, 57X 22X 24

wrasseguy: You pic in your avatar is amazing. I just lost my line spot through 3 layers of bird netting. Do you possibly know where i might find another one?

they are hard to find but i have seen a few more here of late..i sent you a pm on that...also i don't think the flames will help it hold its color...keep in mind like snorvich posted that the blue group and green color fairy wrasses loose thier color the most and it takes females imo to keep the bright colors
