I have a 7 inch GuinneaFowl Puffer that somehow ingested some air today and has been frantically trying to get it out for a few hours and cannot do it. When he gives up he floats right to the top and then fights his way back down and lodges himself under something to keep from floating back up. I actually caught him and held him with a wet towel thinking he may be able to burp it out but he didn't. I don't know what else to try. Any ideas?

Ok, I caught the puffer again, tried to "burp" him for a long time but couldn't fix the problem. I even got him to fill up a couple times and push all the air back out and the same little pocket on his left rear is still there. I pretty much worked him over all I could and could not get him back to normal. I didn't want to over stress him and let him go back in for the night. Any other ideas that I can try if he isn't better by morning?

Thanks,

Jeff

I think Justin might have posted some stuff re: this. Maybe you could PM him or Pufferpunk. I hope it works out for you, keeps us posted
