last night i looked in my tank after lights out and a small part of my new purple lobo was sliming. i only got it last tuesday and it seemed fine until now.
i moved it to a place with enough flow to keep the slime from settling and went to bed.
woke up this morning to find the slimed area bare skeleton and more of it starting to slime up.
CRAPOLA! i spent a lot on this coral and i just got a big blue lobo and i do not want it to suffer the same fate.
note: i have a small orange lobo and i have had it for 5 weeks and it is perfectly fine.
the little bit of damage at the bottom end of the pic was there when i got it, and the very tip of the coral near the new damaged was also already bare but the damaged appeared to be old.

i have an iodine dip should i use that? i also have seachem reef dip coral disinfectant...
should i frag off the end that is acting up or will splitting the tissue just doom it further?
