my puffer will not swim around? for 3 days he has been in the back of the tank? he will come out to eat then he goes back, doesent look sick or beat up? cant figure out this fish? is it normel or does he need some theraphy?

Mine did the same thing.
He would hide in a couple different caves, come out to get food, and then shoot back to the cave.
After a week he was out swimming like the other fish, but decided he wanted to munch my zoos. So he got sold.
IMO if he is eating he will be fine.

Look at him close. Mine did that and turned really dark and it was because he was getting picked on by a sneaky lunare wrasse!

Puffers are very moody...they will sulk if they aren't happy. lol sounds crazy I know but it's true. If he's new to the tank that is probably pretty normal behavior for a puffer.

Mine is extremely moody. I had a bannerfish (heniochus) that nipped at him a few times and the puffer ended up staying next to a powerhead for like a week and only came out to eat. Check to see if another fish is nipping at him, it doesn't even have to be outright aggression, but even just a bit of nipping or bumping could cause major mood swings.
