Hi, yesterday I bought again the lionfish and two tassle filefishes, all are in baby age.
They are from new arrival a couple of days before. The water in their tanks has yellowish, but not like the one with high organics content or erithromicine. I suspect that they used some kind of preventative medications, analog of Coral Dip only for a fishes.
The antennata lionfish has not deep scratch on the its side, and one of the tassle filefishes is pale with red gills, visible through the body (this tiny winy one was in tank with adult naso tangs), maybe irritation by increased ammonia.
If they used some medication, maybe I could use it too in my tank. Only not killing biofiltration.
Any advice?
P.S. Tank, where they are now, could be treated as QT, but I have bad experience with serious antibiotic treatment. Later they will be moved to 90g tank.
