Ok so after all the problems I had trying to get my new tank I finally got it on wednesday night. Of course I was cooking thanksgiving dinner and couldn't start setting it up right away. So yesterday I started. I got the reflector into place, put all the bulk heads in did all the plumbing. Today I an doing all the final touches before I add water and I am about to come out of my skin in excitement.
Tank Specs: Tank-Glass 1/2" around, 3/4" on bottom 42"W x 42"L x 24"T also drilled for closed
loop
Lighting- LumanMax reflector with 1-400W Radium
Flow- 2 darts, 1-return, and 1 closed loop
Filter- 75gal Fuge/sump with euro reef protein skimmer RS250
Calcium Reactor- Korallin
I can't wait to get this running and transfer everything from my 65. I will post some pictures when I get a chance later today.

Sorry about the lack of pictures but I got really sick thanks to my boyfriend giving me the flu! Good thing he made up for it by doing all the final prep work on the new tank. Water will be in it tomorrow. I promise some pictures tonight.

Cool tank!! You should use the clear primer in the yellow can, you won't get those ugly purple stains on your PVC.

Yeah I didn't realize it was going to stain purple until it was to late. I have always used the clear and I didn't even think about it until I was done. Oh well Good thing I don't mind the color. LOL

So I had to push back the water delivery to saturday afternoon, I couldn't get off work today and I still need to break down my current tank with all my livestock and put the new tank in its place. I can't wait to undertake this madness I have created for myself. I need a beer...

So it only took 2 and a half hours to break down my 65 tonight. I cleaned all the rock being reused in the new tank. Water is coming tomorrow at 12:30. My house stinks like fish tank now from the left over sand in the old tank. All the livestock is being held overnight in a trash can. I will post pics as soon as I add the water tomorrow. I can't believe its finally happening!

So its up and running now. Took from 8:00 in the morning until 10:30 at night to get this thing running. Some leaks set the whole thing back but everything was taken care of thanks to some good friends that thank goodness do this kind of thing for a living. All the rock and water was added last night and fish and corals went in this morning. My tang and rabbit are already eating nori and the rest of the crew is hiding. I will post some pics later today.

I wasn't planning on it. I only had the 250W radium on my 65 and that was almost to much light , this tank is the same depth as the 65 was so I think it should be fine. Also the reflector I have is supposed to have a 4" reach and the tank is only 3.5".

SO all the fish seem to be happy, all are eating and out and about in the new tank. The corals seem to be enjoying the insane flow as well. I can't wait until this thing is fully stocked! Its gonna have to be awhile though I want to make sure the tank is perfectly stable before I get anything new.

I needed help with the plumbing otherwise it would have been sooner. I just transfered all the stuff from my old tank into my new one, so everything but the sand was already cured.
