What is your return pump? Do you have mostly SPS? I think the only thing that would like flow like that is SPS, otherwise it might be a little unessesary. Assuming your return pump with headloss is around 600gph you have about 52x flow in there (3400 gph total divided by 65). So, yes and no... Might be a little too much flow for some fishes as well.. Are you able to dial down 6055's?

EDIT: In further reading they're controllable which is nice. I'm sure you can dial them down a bit if needed and alternate them or something if both on full throttle is too much. --- Go for it :)

EDIT2: Have you researched the newer koralias that are controllable? The K4 controllable has pretty much identical flow rates as the Tunze 6055 and is MUCH cheaper, food for thought.

yea I have a 750 g/ph return pump so its like 600 now. I have leathers now but i just got new halides and a skimmer so I wanna get into sps's
I see that the K4's are only $50. They make a wavemaker for these too. I heard that the on / off of these PH's are bad on the impellers though. is this true?

They should be fine. I had a 60g cube with two 6045s, and a maxijet mod. It was fine... The 6055s are much nicer, and like said, you can dial them down if needed.
