my drain seems to be sucking in a lot of air, making loud gargling noises... any solutions to this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

What type of drain is it Vince? Durso, Herbie etc?

Chances are if it's sucking air and "flushing" then it's creating a vacuum. If it's a durso do you have a small hole drilled on top to allow air in? If so check and make sure it hasn't crusted up with salt creep. That can really hamper an air line. Or if it's a newer tank, simply try enlarging the air hole in steps until the noise goes away.

Hope that helps.

P.S. Damn you wake up early!
