Anyone have one of these wrasses? I will be getting one this week sometime to go in with my 6" passer angel and 5" purple tang. He is about 8" long. I am assuming they are very similar to lunare wrasses. Will it eat smaller damsels? I know it will probably eat a clean up crew, but what about tiny blue leg hermits? Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Wow, that's pretty harsh! The person who is selling the wrasse to me says he is a actually pretty calm, doesnt really bother inverts too much (except clams and shrimp) and leaves little fish alone too! Guess well have to see, I know every fish is different. Hopefully he works out. Thanks for the reply, anyone else have any input/experience?

They have the typical Thalassoma behavior, active and eat anything they can. Not quite as aggressive as the lunar wrasse, but still not safe with small fish and bite size inverts ;)

With your passer, DamnPep, you might be better off if the new wrasse is in fact as tough as dominic's was anyhow.

Yeah, I know all fish are different, I don't know how he really is until I get him. I plan on getting a clown trigger and puffer eventually so they too will eat inverts. The passer is 6" and this wrasse is pushing 8", so he should be able to hold his own against him. We'll see, I think I am going to pick him up next weekend.

I have known many a damsel to hold their own. What kind of damsel is it? I think it should be a fine addition just keep in mind that they are constantly active fish and this can sometimes be annoying to the other fish in the tank.

Two yellowtails which hide in the rocks and a very bold big 3 stripe. I think the wrasse will be a good addition, I need something to **** the passer off haha.

post pics when you get it. The Klunzingeri wrasse is a real beauty and not often seen in the hobby.

I will definitely post pics once I get it. I am thinking around next weekend I should have the wrasse. The person is having trouble getting it out of the tank I believe.
