I bought my first mandarin 4 months ago. My tank is 53gallons with a 7 gallon sump. 55lbs of live rock. No fuge. I knew that it was risky to have a mandarin in my size tank. I waited until my tank was up and running for 14 months to try a mandarin. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the mandarin I bought was extremely skinny, until I got him home in my tank. The first 3 pictures were taken the day I took him home, and the last picture, I took tonight, 4 months after putting him in my tank. I'm sooooooooo happy how much he has grown and filled out!! I probably saved his life by taking him home, even though it was a bit risky in a tank my size. He's doing awesome!!

My spotted Mandarin the day I brought him home:

Wow congrats! He was very skinny when you bought him-the second pic really shows that.
